Arsenal: £60m star 'firmly not for sale' amid interest at the Emirates

The Daily Mail recently reported that Arsenal are in talks with Martinelli over a new contract.
However, according to the same outlet, the north London club will have to offer the Brazilian around £200,000 a week if they want him to sign an extension.

Martinelli has less than two years remaining on his current contract, which is thought to be worth £70,000 a week.

Should Arsenal fail to agree a new deal with Martinelli, Chelsea could make a move for him, with the Daily Mail claiming that they have the former Ituano player on their radar.

Why are Arsenal unwilling to sell Martinelli?
He is one of their best players; it is as simple as that. The Brazil international has been excellent for Arsenal this season, scoring four goals in his first 10 Premier League games.

His contribution has helped take Mikel Arteta's side to the top of the Premier League table and, at just 21 years of age, you would expect him to only improve.

Speaking about Martinelli after Arsenal's 3-0 win against Brentford last month, Arteta said (via football.london): "If you look at the game he played a year ago here and today it is just incredible how fast they grow, they mature, they recognise situations, execution levels, and their understanding.
