Arsenal are looking to bring in a winger in January and have been heavily linked with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk.
They don’t want to sell the 21-year-old and, in order to sign him, Arsenal may well have to pay up more than €100m to have any chance.
That’s a lot of money.
So, it makes sense that Arsenal would be looking for backup options, one of whom is said to be Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.
The 23-year-old left winger has four goals and four assists in 19 games, so not quite as productive as Mudryk who has seven goals and seven assists in 13 games this season.
