SPECIAL’ PLAYER SPOTTED AT COLNEY, ONLY PLAYED TWICE FOR ARSENAL IN 14 MONTHS

Reiss Nelson might be gearing up for another Arsenal start tonight.

The Gunners welcome PSV Eindhoven to North London in a Europa League contest.
The rarely-used Nelson started in the 1-0 victory away to Bodo/Glimt in this competition last week.

The 22-year-old winger faced off against PSV last season and Mikel Arteta – who has labelled him a ‘special‘ player in the past – might look to unleash him again tonight.

Fitness problems have made it a difficult start to the campaign for Nelson, who hasn’t yet played in the Premier League this season.

However, as shown above, the Hale End academy graduate was photographed at Colney on Wednesday, indicating that he was training as normal in preparation for tonight.

With question marks over Gabriel Martinelli’s fitness tonight, and Bukayo Saka potentially going to earn himself a rest following a hectic and goal-laden few weeks, Nelson is almost definitely going to start tonight.

It was an okay performance against the Norwegian outfit last week but remember, it was his first start for Arsenal since last August.

And with his fitness issues this season, he’s only going to get a lot better and hopefully another hour or longer tonight will accelerate his return to top form.
