Arteta says Tierney is desperate to play
Speaking to Hayters TV ahead of tonight’s clash with PSV, Arteta was asked how Tierney has reacted to having to compete for a place in Arsenal’s side.
“He understood certain decisions. Like any other player, he wants to get involved and play as many minutes as possible,” he said.
“We try to communicate with them individually when we can to give them some reasons and after they just need to work hard and accept and give us the right reasons.
“Which are always on the pitch and not in training or knocking on someone’s door to make sure it’s that obvious to see that someone deserves to start the game.”
