Future Arsenal coach? Gunners 30yo completes UEFA B Licence

Posting on his Instagram story, as above, Mohamed Elneny shared a picture taken by Arsenal medical manager Sophie Curthoys captioned “UEFA B [tick emoji], UEFA A soon”.
Arsenal’s Inside Hale End documentary recently revealed that Elneny was one of a few first-team players working on their coaching badges. He was seen coaching the club’s u15s alongside Granit Xhaka and Cedric Soares for a training session.

It seems the midfielder has now completed another step on his coaching journey, and he’ll likely continue to work towards his A Licence while he’s out injured.

As it stands, it appears Elneny will be absent from match action with Arsenal until January, due to a serious hamstring injury back in August.

But the Egypt international is clearly making the most of his time away from the pitch to secure his future after football.

Back in the summer, Elneny’s father suggested his son’s future was in coaching, adding that he expected the midfielder to coach Arsenal someday.

“I was sure that Elneny would continue with Arsenal, and I told him that, even though everyone in Egypt was saying that he would leave the team this summer,” Nasser Elneny
