Everton manager Frank Lampard asked for the club to sign Conor Coady on a permanent basis several weeks ago, according to journalist Simon Phillips.
The £62,000 per-week star has made an instant impact since arriving on loan from Wolves back and has already been linked with a permanent move to Goodison Park.
Following a long-term injury to Ben Godfrey, Coady came straight into Lampard’s starting XI and has kept his place ever since, playing a huge role in the Toffees’ climb up the Premier League standings.
According to The Telegraph, with just two years left on the defender’s Wolves contract by next summer, Coady will be available for £4.5m.
